This was the first ever skateboarding exhibition in Kenya.The public got a chance to interact with their local pros,learn about the skateboarding culture and hang out.Thanks to the National Museums of Kenya for hosting us.

On June 21st 2011 the world celebrates one of the the biggest event in in the history of skateboarding.In Nairobi Kenya we are also proud to join the world in marking this great day.

So wherever you may be in Kenya on June 21st represent Skateboarding the best way you know how as a good skate soldier.

Share your skate videos with friends, introduce your friends to skateboarding and above all make sure you enjoy yourself by promoting skateboarding in kenya and help reduce bored people.

Hello everyone,
the Nairobi king of game of skate went down yesterday June 5th 2011 at the sunken car parking lot.

Thank you to all skateboarding crews,fans,filmers and photographers that assisted us to make the event successful.

The King of S.K.A.T.E 2011 is; KELVIN MAINA,

VICTOR MURAGE came in 2nd place,

KEIZ HALEEM took 3rd place.

Greetings All,
This week has been a success most thanks go out to Activist Skateboards!

They got to do skateboarding and film all over nairobi with us and hopefully within 8 weeks we shall see the DVD. Epic moments include skateboarding & filming on saturday at AIC DIGUNA on the halfpipe and quarter pipe i am sorry if you weren't invited but it was totally random after being kicked out of uhuru park and uhuru gardens. Today at uhuru park was also great thanks to everyone who made it. A few lucky people got to take home some free decks. Also a big thank you to the people who showed support and bought Speedy G's album The Expedition. Activist Skateboarders will be leaving the country on Friday so for further details on any skate sesh talk to the chairman Leo Kilel. Have an awesome week and stay safe people!!

Nairobi is not only Kenya's capital, but, unfortunately, bears the burden of many slums, home to 60 percent of the population. The Kenya Society of skating is now organized by the local scene and already existent and is supported by the David in the orphanage Imani working Wichera. He teaches the kids skateboarding and offers them as a way to break out of their difficult living conditions. In addition, he is driving just the planning of a skate park and works in the slums of Nairobi, where one is confronted with a still very high AIDS rate, much poverty and violence.
